about

My friend Dale gave me the book/CD “Wayfaring Strangers” by Fiona Ritchie and Doug Orr about the intersection between Appalachian and Celtic music. I had the traditional song in my consciousness, but in this reintroduction I resonated with the blend of gospel, roots and folk music in a way that I hadn’t before. I heard my story, and I heard many of our stories in a way that made me want to lend my voice and playing to the many versions that already exist. When you hear this song, I hope you might want to find a way to join in as well. Come one, come all!
