I have lived with these songs for a number of years, and as we paused for Ash Wednesday this year, several of these songs were a key part of our conversation. With Denise's encouragement, I took some time this winter/spring to set down a reading of them; they have continued to be my meditation and space for self-discovery. It may seem strange that these lyrics and melodies of struggle and pain show the path to hope, but that has been our experience. It's in this spirit that we hope to share them with you.
