I was introduced to this song by my grade eight music teacher in London, Ontario, Canada. He was a professional musician, who used contemporary songwriters to teach us about music, and Gordon Lightfoot was one of his favorites. We sang along to Lightfoot hits via listening to the records and following the lyrics via overhead projector.
